Bradford Salem 50 Skipton 0

Salem ran in eight tries to record a crushing victory and move into fifth place.

Still smarting from their heavy defeat at Selby the previous week, the hosts soon took a 5-0 lead when a deft cross-kick from Danny Thomas found fellow winger Sam Savage in space on the right and he strolled over the try-line.

Next on the scoresheet was inside centre Sam Gardner who gathered a flat pass from Andy Robinson and his strong angled run took him under the posts, Robinson improving.

Former Keighley Cougar Gardner soon added to his tally, outpacing the defence before dummying his way over for an excellent solo effort. Robinson was unable to convert but he made amends as he jinked his way under the sticks for a try which he improved himself to give the Bradford side a 24-0 interval lead.

Good work from man of the match Dave Howcroft saw Carl Walker dive over the line and the lead was extended when Jonny Robinson crashed over for a try improved by namesake Andy.

Savage then finished off some excellent handling in the backs and soon afterwards got his hat-trick to complete the rout.
