WEST Bowling are aiming to retain the Pennine League title in style when they visit Fryston Warriors tomorrow to decide who will take the coveted crown in the final Premier Division clash of the season.

While Bowling are not contemplating anything other than securing a win, they do have a small fall-back of knowing that Fryston must succeed by a margin of at least four points to overturn West's slender points-difference advantage if they wish to nick the championship from Glenn Barraclough's boys.

All the ingredients are in place for a classic encounter after last week's narrow 30-26 win in the reverse fixture that gave Bowling pole position.

Head coach Barraclough is aware of the huge task in hand and said: "We need to work harder than last week and turn every opportunity into points.

"Prop Ryan Patchett is still out injured but Jason Marshall returns to bolster our rotation, while Nigel Halmshaw will have a fitness test before the kick-off."

Queensbury will keep pace with Championship Division leaders Mirfield Stags if they succeed at bottom side Brotherton Bulldogs, while Odsal Sedbergh will be hoping to bounce back following last week's bruising Bradford Cup loss when they welcome West Leeds.

Victoria Rangers, the victors in that cup match, face a long journey to Barrow to take on Dalton in Division One.

Wyke host the top game in the Bradford area when they welcome CK Vikings to Wyke Rec in Division Two.

The black and whites are missing prop Ben Kelly (knee), who will be replaced by veteran Johnny Waddington. Youngsters Andy Lloyd and Kieron Helliwell are set to keep their jerseys after good performances against West Craven last time out.

Division Three West table-toppers Clayton will have to be on their guard as third-placed Newsome Panthers arrive at Lidget Green. Clayton will also be looking to Worth Village to end fellow title contenders Brighouse Rangers' unbeaten record on their travels.

Meanwhile, Bradford Dudley Hill kick off their National Conference Division Two campaign as they welcome Stanley Rangers to Parry Lane.

Hill, who have Jason Lee back in the coaching saddle, give former Wibsey Warriors stalwart pack recruits Mark Darragh and Charles Marsh their first starts, while familiar faces Anthony Huby and Lewis Evans are also in the squad.

There is further good news that Kiwi enforcer Daniel Parker is set to return to the fold in a fortnight's time.
