QUEENSBURY play their first home game in the revamped Pennine League Premier Division season when West Bowling arrive at Hill Top tomorrow.

Bowling, who are on the crest of a wave following last week's mighty win at Upton, are seeking the double after registering a 40-12 success against Bury at Emsley's Rec last month.

The scoreline that day flattered Wests and, while there was no doubt that they deserved the victory, Bury played a huge part in an entertaining game of the highest order.

Glenn Barraclough's boys will be looking to their pack to provide the impetus, with prop Chris Anderson and second-row forward Olly Bartle in great form, while the half-back partnership of Max Trueman and Ben Heald is settling down to be a formidable attacking force.

Bury, who will be determined to avoid what is becoming a worrying slow start in recent games, also have a clutch of match-winners.

Wingman Scott Swann is a clinical finisher and also a deadly marksman, while Josh Naylor and Charlie Gallagher are always dangerous in open play.

Odsal Sedbergh journey to King Cross Park still searching for an elusive first Championship One Division win.

Sedge gave a good account of themselves against the gigantic Morley Borough pack last time out, while the Halifax side are also without a point so far.

Third-placed Victoria Rangers have a golden chance to reinforce their Division One promotion chances by lowering the colours of Stainland Stags, who are one spot above them, at Eccleshill Sports Club.

The Vics, who have been busy fixing a broken drain that caused the postponed game against Wibsey Warriors last weekend, have put the enforced lay-off to good use, with a number of players now fit to go after niggling injuries.

Wyke face a tough trip to Division Two high-flyers CK Vikings in good spirits following their win at Littleborough in the Andrew Bennett Memorial Trophy.

Wibsey Warriors are also on the road at West Craven Warriors. Wibsey are starting to look the part of late under the eagle eye of head coach Jason Hirst, who has handed back the reins in order to guide the National Conference summer team's preparations.

West Bowling A will be counting the numbers for their Division Four excursion to Sherburn Bears after failing to raise a side last week.

And there will be a lot of interest shown in the strength of the Illingworth A team that travels to Queensbury B in Division Six West.
