The game of the day on Saturday is the derby between fierce rivals West Bowling and Wibsey Warriors.

The Pennine League Premier Division clash is sure to attract a huge crowd, with major bragging rights at stake.

Both sides suffered narrow defeats in their openers last week, so the chance of a first win of the season adds that little bit of extra spice.

Bowling welcome back Liam Martin from suspension, while Sha Basha, Connor Woods, Jay Rossi, Connor Ayres and Chris Anderson are all in contention for selection. Jason Marshall will require a late fitness test.

Wibsey make the short journey with a number of injury problems. Coach Jason Hirst is unable to select either Mikey Derricks or Mike Kite, who are sidelined with a broken leg and arm respectively. Si Speight (ribs) and Ross Simpson (arm) also miss out.

In the Championship Division, Queensbury have their first outing at Dewsbury Moor. Bury should have too much firepower for a Dewsbury outfit who were demolished last week by Methley, who clocked up 100 points.

In Championship One, Birkenshaw take a short hop to neighbours Brighouse Rangers. Brighouse had a good win last time out at St Joseph's and will prove a stern test for the visitors.

However, Birky had a confidence-boosting win themselves last week when they beat Lindley Swifts, so the points are well up for grabs.

Odsal Sedbergh entertain Sharlston Rovers A at the Recreation Ground.

Sedge played out a thrilling 28-28 draw with Wyke in their opening fixture and will be hoping to secure both points against a Wakefield outfit also looking for a first win.

Sedge have Andy Gabriel in fine form after his recent hat-trick, while inspirational Kaine McEwan retains the loose forward jersey.

Wyke return to action when they welcome Boothtown Terriers. Wyke will need all the strength and determination of forwards Simon Owen and Warren Pitman to take the battle to a Halifax side that will provide a tough test for the Black and Whites.

Clayton make the trip to West Craven Warriors, with coach John Parkinson looking for his side to bounce back from last week's unlucky defeat.

The experienced Scott Pendlebury can provide the creativity needed to unlock any defence, while  Simon Giles and Paul Crossley are in top form.
