Cougars full back Craig Moss made it a double for the club after being named the Premier Sports player of the week.
The Welsh international full back followed team-mate Scott Law in clinching the accolade after scoring a hat-trick in the 36-16 win at Swinton Lions.
Moss was playing his first competitive first-team game since September but it hardly showed.
Cougars coach Paul March said: “Craig came straight back in and showed us all what we’ve been missing.
“His support play was outstanding – every time we made a half break he was there. He also created some opportunities on the edges, which is something we’ve been missing.”
The Premier Sports try of the week award also went to a Cougars player, with Paul White named after finishing in the corner following a crisp handling move.
March said: “It was a try that any winger would have been happy with. It was a superb finish.”
Apart from Moss, clubmate Brendan Rawlins was also included in the overall team of the week.
