CAMPION and Albion Sports have kicked off their competitive campaign in style having both claimed victories in their opening two NCEL Premier Division fixtures.

The Bradford sides put on impressive displays on Wednesday evening against Bottesford Town and Goole AFC respectively to ensure their 100% winning records remain intact.

Having cruised to the Division One title last season, Campion have started this campaign in the same manner as they finished the last one, scoring nine goals in their opening two fixtures.

Their most recent victory (Wednesday) was a scintillating attacking performance as they collected a 6-2 win over Bottesford.

Talisman Marcus Day struck a hat-trick for the hosts, while Nicky Boshell, Michael O’Brien and Junayd Cassius-Gill also found themselves on the scoresheet.

Elsewhere, Albion Sports were likewise comfortable in victory, with Robbie Fox scoring a brace as the home side ran out 3-0 winners.

Eivind Johnsen sealed the three points with a 90th minute strike to ensure Albion’s fast start to the season remained.Junayd
