SILSDEN will hope to be able to put last Monday’s heavy defeat behind them when they visit Winsford United for a clash between as two of the North West Counties League's Premier Division strugglers.
The Cobbydalers lost 7-2 at Atherton Collieries in midweek but were ring rusty after enduring back-to-back home postponements due to the recent bad weather.
The inactivity and consecutive league defeats have left Silsden third from bottom.
They are just one point below the trapdoor but have at least two games in hand on the four clubs immediately above them, one of which is Winsford.
The hosts are seven points better off than the Cobbydalers and are one of three clubs on 22 points in a congested lower mid-table.
Five of Winsford’s six league wins this season have come at home but they have hit their worst run of form.
The Cheshire outfit are on the back of five straight defeats and are bottom of the division’s form table.
