IT WAS a high-scoring game at the Angel Telecom Stadium as Silsden went down 3-2 to Premier Division visitors Maine Road in the North West Counties League.

Daniel Howarth gave the Cobbydalers a fourth-minute lead but they conceded a penalty just after the quarter-hour mark from which Connor Hughes levelled.

The home side got a spot-kick of their own just after the half-hour point when Chris Wademan was impeded in the area and Joe Mitchell netted – but their lead lasted less than two minutes.

Hughes netted his second equaliser and Josh Harper pounced to net the Manchester side's winner eight minutes into the second half after Cobbydalers keeper Danny Thorpe was unable to punch a corner clear.
