IN-FORM Salts welcome Huddersfield-based Honley FC to their Saltaire ground for the first time tomorrow in the Taylors Timber West Riding County Amateur League Premier Division.

Two successive wins, against Huddersfield YMCA and Newsome, have lifted Salts up to joint top, though goal difference puts them third behind YMCA and Littletown.

After two successive promotions, Honley have acquitted themselves in the top flight so far but the hosts will be confident of maintaining their challenge at the top.

Steeton, who occupy fifth place and have games in hand on the teams above them, welcome Lower Hopton at their Summer Hill Lane ground.

Littletown, who slipped to second place after all results involving withdrawn side Kirkburton were expunged, travel to last season's Division One champions Newsome FC.

Ten Division One teams are in League Cup action, with the pick of the games being the clash between Tyersal and Ventus Yeadon Celtic at Arkwright Street (1.45pm).

Celtic, who were beaten in the West Riding County FA Challenge Cup last weekend by Settle United, would happily settle for the same 3-1 outcome in their favour when the two teams met in the league at Yeadon in early September.

Campion Reserves will be looking to reach the second round of the West Riding County FA Challenge Cup, when they play their delayed first round game against Stanningley Old Boys at the sportsbulk.co.uk Stadium (2pm).

The Bradford & District FA Saturday Senior Cup tie between Thackley and Campion has been brought forward from Saturday, October 15 to Monday evening at Thackley’s Ainsbury Avenue ground (7.45pm).
