SALTS face another big test tomorrow after toppling defending West Riding County Amateur League champions Huddersfield YMCA last weekend.
This time they travel to take on promoted Newsome, who came up as Division One winners and have made a decent start to their first season in the top flight.
The Huddersfield outfit are currently one point ahead of Salts at third in the Premier Division and another close battle is anticipated.
Early leaders Littletown will need to bank all three points at home to Overthorpe as they look to hold on to top spot.
Second-placed Huddersfield YMCA will not find it easy at home to Halifax Irish, who are the section's top scorers, while Campion Reserves welcome Golcar United.
With the cricket season now completed, teams who share facilities can finally concentrate on playing homes games until April next year.
Wibsey, who play at Bankfoot Cricket Club, start by hosting local rivals Tyersal in Division One. Ventus-Yeadon Celtic, who share changing facilities at Yeadon CC, are at home to Hunsworth.
