SALTS will be carrying the banner for the West Riding County Amateur League when they visit West Yorkshire League Premier Division side Boroughbridge in the quarter-finals of the West Riding County FA Challenge Cup on Saturday.

The Saltaire club have reached the last eight with wins over Bramham (3-2), Thornhill (7-5 after extra-time), Steeton (1-0) and Whitkirk Wanderers (3-1), while their opponents, who beat Campion in 3-0 December, were re-instated after Bardsey, who beat them last month, were eliminated for playing an ineligible player.

Campion and Steeton will be seeking to reach the halfway stage of their Premier Division season when both meet Halifax sides.

Halifax Irish face Campion at Manningham Mills (2.30pm), while Steeton visit Ovenden West Riding – last season’s champions.

Tyersal, who are six points from safety at the foot of the table and without a home victory, are at home to fourth-placed Lower Hopton.

Semi-final draws for divisional cups – Premier Division: Campion v Lower Hopton, Huddersfield YMCA v Ovenden West Riding or Bay Athletic. Division One: Overthorpe SC v Lepton Highlanders, Bradford Horton Sports v Wakefield City or Campion Reserves.

Division Two: Gildersome Spurs OB v Littletown Reserves or Bradford FC, Bay Athletic Reserves v The Hunslet & Parkside FC.

Dates, venues and kick-off times to be advised.
