TVR United will be crowned champions in their debut Telegraph & Argus League season after Bradford Arms’ brave run to catch them finally faltered.
Arms dropped two points to West Bowling United in a 2-2 draw and although they rounded off their league season with a resounding 5-1 victory over Abundant Life Church, TVR remain out of reach.
Abundant Life put up a good fight in the first half, pulling a goal back after early strikes from Craig Thomas and Liam Charles.
But although the visitors had plenty of other chances, Arms pulled clear again as outstanding midfielder Muj Malik made it 3-1 just before the interval.
Sound defence then kept Abundant Life at bay in the second half and further breakaway goals by Charles and Mick Metcalfe killed the contest.
One other weekend match saw Lidget Green ease to a 4-0 win at West Bowling.
Asif Chunara (2) and Jakir Aziz were on target before Shahit Saddiq added the goal of the game with a 35-yard volley.
The League Cup semi-finals take place on Saturday at Rawdon Meadow (1.30pm), with West Bowling taking on TVR and White Abbey Road up against holders Thornbury.
