BRADFORD City Women visit Nottingham Forest tomorrow in their first FA Women's Premier League outing for a month.

The Bantams have not played a competitive fixture since their 2-1 Northern Division defeat at Middlesbrough in February and player-manager Charlotte Stuart insists they are ready to bounce back this weekend.

Stuart said: "We are all really excited to get back into action after so much time off. We're eager to put right the things that went wrong at Middlesbrough too.

"We went into that game in similar circumstances to what we will this week, so the motivation is to make amends for last time, learn from our mistakes and get back to winning ways."

A slow start saw City fall behind after only seven minutes on Teesside before Bianca Owens came off the bench to score her 18th goal of the season and secure all three points for the hosts.

Full back Shauna Legge admitted the team were not as sharp as they have been, which cost them on the day.

Yet that was only to be expected as City were playing for the first time in four weeks and so preparations this time around have been much different.

A midweek friendly against Barnsley gave players the chance to get 90 minutes under their belts ahead of this weekend and a 4-2 win means they go into the Forest game with that craving for another victory.

"The girls have been working hard all week, both in training and in Tuesday's game," said Stuart.

"The attitude and effort has been quality and if we carry that into tomorrow's game, I'm confident we can get the result we're after."

City's bid for three points will be boosted by the return of midfielder Ellie Olds, who has been out for two months with ankle ligament damage.

With a full squad available, the Bantams will travel down the M1 with the belief that they can bounce back in style.
