ONLY three matches survived the wet weather in the Spen Valley League, but they produced 25 goals in the First Division.

Shock of the day came at third-placed Savile Town, who were beaten 6-5 at home by bottom club Howden Clough.

The visitors' second league win of the season came courtesy of goals by Shane Thornton (2), Andy Lawton (2), Corey Starkey and Connor Teal, with Fayyaz Bobat's hat-trick and single strikes by Naveed Hafeez and Rafaqat Hussain proving in vain.

Clough are still bottom, but are level on points with Dewsbury West Side Reserves, who lost 5-2 at second-placed Inter Batley.

Arfan Ali and Aftab Ahmed got the consolation goals for the second string, while Norfolk are putting pressure on Savile Town for third place after a 4-3 victory at Marsh.

Mohammed Omar (2), Ismail Loonat and Zaffran Khan were Norfolk's marksmen, with Scott Newby (2) and Dean Cummins netting for the hosts.
