SECOND host third in the FA Women's Premier League tomorrow as Bradford City travel up the M1 to face Northern Division rivals Middlesbrough.

Blackburn beat the Teessiders 5-1 last Sunday to all but settle the title race – but the runners-up position most certainly isn't.

A win for City this weekend would reignite that race and player-manager Charlotte Stuart insists her team are ready for the test.

"We've worked on our game plan and formation really well this week in training and we're ready for what will be a good battle," she said.

"We've not played competitively for over a month either, so everyone is really raring to go and excited to get back playing."

Boro were 2-0 winners when the two sides two last met back in August, as the newly-promoted side got off to a flying start.

City struggled after mass changes over the summer, losing their first four games, but Stuart believes their improvements since have been huge – and big enough to get a result tomorrow.

"We have a totally different team from when we last met them," she said.

"We've come a long way since then and you can see that in the league table and in our results over the last few months.

"We know exactly what Middlesbrough are about and we are confident that we know how to stop them and beat them.

"We are physically and mentally prepared for this and hopefully we can take what we have done in training into the game."

A win would leave City six points behind Boro come Sunday evening and with a game in hand over the north-east outfit.

With just five games left, while there may not be a title race to excite supporters, it would leave the fight for second perfectly poised.
