BRADFORD City Women end their month-long wait for a league fixture when they travel to West Bromwich Albion tomorrow.

Having kept themselves focused on the training ground, and fresh on the pitch with a couple of friendlies, the Bantams are ready and raring to go again.

"We can't wait to get back to the league – all the girls are excited," said player-manager Charlotte Stuart ahead of the FA Women's Premier League Northern Division clash.

"It'll be a tough game, especially since West Brom are always a physical side, but we're ready for it.

"We're a totally different team to when we played them at the beginning of the season, so it will be an exciting contest."

The Baggies knocked City out of the FA Women's Premier League Cup back in August, beating them 2-1 in the midlands.

That win ended a sticky start to the season for last year's champions – but it is Bradford who have enjoyed better fortunes since, climbing to third in the table while West Brom sit eighth.

Yet there will be no complacency this weekend, with the hosts having won four games on the bounce and City juggling injury problems.

"We've had bad news this week that Ellie Olds will be out for a couple of months with a sprained ankle – but the good news is that Laura Elford is back," said Stuart.

"Despite a few injuries, our preparation has been good and Sunday is a chance for some reserves to get an opportunity again.

"A few have trained well with the first team this week and hopefully they'll be ready to take their chance."

Winger Jade Brindle is certainly in contention, having turned heads with four goals in the reserves' 5-1 win over Hull two weeks ago.

And with City's second-string currently on a run of five games unbeaten, Stuart can be calm about putting her trust in any of the confident team.
