BRIGHOUSE Town face arguably the biggest game in their history tomorrow as they entertain Women's Super League side Everton in the third round of the SSE Women's FA Cup.

Former Bradford City defender Jodie Redgrave has blossomed as a striker for Town and her four goals against Long Eaton in the previous round earned her the SSE player of the round award. With ten goals in her last two cup ties, she could well cause the Super League giants a problem or two.

Unfortunately preparations suffered a setback with a 2-0 defeat in the FA Women's Premier League Northern Division One game at Chester-le-Street last week and Brighouse find themselves just two points clear of the relegation places.

At the other end of the table, Guiseley Vixens are hoping to return to action following recent postponements and have a home game against Hull City, although plans have been disrupted by a fire at Nethermoor that has caused damage to turnstiles and dressing rooms.

Although now in second place, four points behind Chorley, Guiseley go into the game against third-placed Hull still unbeaten and with four games in hand on the leaders.

In the Northern Reserve Division, there were good wins for Bradford City and Guiseley last week.

City beat bottom club Hull City 5-1, with four goals from Jade Brindle and one by Meg Lawson, while Guiseley came from behind to beat title-chasing Newcastle 2-1 thanks to goals from Keegan Lambert and substitute Maria Abad Sangra.

Bradford Park Avenue maintained their recent upturn in form in the Women's West Riding League Premier Division as they collected a 4-0 win over Hemsworth to move into a safe mid-table position, although they face a stiffer test tomorrow at second-placed Tingley Athletic.
