THE West Riding County FA Women's Cup was thrown into further chaos this week.

Bradford Park Avenue, having progressed to the last 16 by virtue of Amaranth conceding their tie after a succession of injuries during the game, were forced to concede their latest tie after being unable to raise a side against Farsley Celtic.

The Celts will now travel to the eventual winners of the postponed Tyersal v Brighouse Athletic game, which will now be played on Sunday, January 8, while Leeds have been given a free passage to the last eight after Leeds Medics & Dentists withdrew.

Leeds will now entertain Guiseley Vixens in their quarter-final on Sunday, January 22, although Guiseley's passage to the last eight was assisted by the withdrawal of Bradford City Reserves earlier in the competition, and also by the withdrawal of last week's scheduled opponents Ossett Town.

In other ties, holders Bradford City go to Altofts, while FA Women's Premier League Division One North side Brighouse Town had a 13-0 win at West Riding League side Lower Hopton.

In-form Jodie Redgrave hit six of the goals, while there was a hat-trick for Charlotte Proud and a goal each for Danni Brown, Annabelle Cass, Emily Starkie and on-loan Eleanor Ciesielski.

Next up for Town is a visit from Castleford White Rose.

Division One North leaders Guiseley and Brighouse Town are back in action on Sunday, January 8, when Guiseley have a league game at Blackpool Wren Rovers and Brighouse go to Nottinghamshire side Long Eaton for a cup tie.
