FIELD Reserves earned derby bragging rights over Wyke Wanderers Reserves by winning their West Yorkshire League Alliance Division One clash 2-1.

Wyke went in front via Sam Digby but Field replied twice before half-time through Josh Hartley and Glyn Hirst. There were no further goals in a scrappy second half.

Young Cameron Sheridan was Wyke's man of the match and there was also a good performance from Mick Stowell in midfield.

In the Heavy Woollen & District FA Wheatley Cup, Wyke Wanderers came away from Dewsbury Rangers with a 3-0 win.

Wyke dominated from the beginning via their fast-flowing football but had to wait until the 44th minute to open the scoring when Karl Fawcett swept home a shot at the far post.

A drive from the edge of the box from Gavin Turner rebounded off the crossbar for Nick Emmett to head the second goal, before Matt Conway completed the scoring to round off a great day.

Joe Entwhistle was the pick of a great team performance by Wyke.
