BRADFORD City head to Fylde tomorrow hoping to end a run of three defeats with the latest, at West Bromwich Albion, seeing them fall at the first hurdle in the FA Women's Premier League Cup.

Ellie Olds scored City's first goal of the season in added time, but is was no more than a consolation as the home side finished 2-1 winners.

Fylde, formerly Preston North End, have always had much the better of the exchanges with City and the new City management team will have their work cut out if they are to change that tomorrow.

It was bad news too for Division One (North) side Guiseley Vixens as their bright start to the season ended with a 3-0 defeat in the Cup at Hull City but newly promoted Brighouse Town were 5-0 winners at Mossley Hill with goals from Rachel White, Abi Barker, Danielle Brown, Tegan McGill and Emily Starkie.

Tomorrow Guiseley are at home to Morecambe, both sides having won their first two games, and Brighouse Town go to Hull City.

In the West Riding County League Premier Division Bradford Park Avenue open their new campaign at home to promoted Battyeford Belles fresh from a 7-1 League Cup win over Brighouse Athletic A.

Sophie Mitchell 2, Jade Nelson 2, Nic Chamberlain, Nat Bell and Annie Roberts were the Avenue scorers as they now look forward to a clash with Bradford City A in the next round.
