FARSLEY Celtic Juniors won 3-0 against Farnley Sports in the semi-finals of the Terry Marflitt Trophy, which was played at the neutral venue of Dewsbury Rangers.

Joe Firth waltzed through the Farnley defence in the 25th minute and provided the cross for the opening goal for skipper Craig Farrand.

Eight minutes later it was Firth's turn to score as he swept a pass out to the right and then guided the return into the net to make it 2-0 at the interval.

Louis Surtees added a third goal on the hour and Farsley now meet Stanningley OB in the final of the Yorkshire Amateur League competition at Liversedge on April 27 (7.15pm).

Division One action saw Drighlington beat Colton Athletic 5-1 to extend their lead at the top to eight points over Calverley United.

Jonathan Kitchen, leading divisional scorer Shane Sowden (2), Brett Thompson and Joe Hirst were the Drighlington scorers.

Grangefield Reserves lie sixth after winning 2-1 at Rothwell Reserves thanks to strikes by Glenn Austwick and Jack Hill.

St Bede's lost 4-2 at Amaranth, who are the section's in-form team with five victories from their last six games.

Jordan Northin bagged a double for Saints but the prolific Robert Dickinson shone for Amaranth with a hat-trick.

In Division Two, Farsley Celtic Juniors Reserves lost 4-2 at Sandal Wanderers with strikes in vain coming from Sam Ford and Steve Wells.

Fairbank United lost 3-1 at FC Headingley in Division Three despite a goal from Junaid Ali, while champions Huddersfield Amateur won 3-0 at Drighlington Reserves.

In Division Six, St Bede's Reserves beat Rothwell Thirds 5-3 to complete their league programme in third place. Goals for Saints came from Karl Hall (2), Dave Allen, Kristops Balodis and George Nash.
