IT PROMISES to be a tough week for Bradford City with important league and cup clashes.

Tomorrow they chase a fifth straight FA Women's Premier League (North) win at home to Huddersfield Town, then on Wednesday they take on a revitalised Guiseley Vixens in the the West Riding County FA Women's Cup semi-final tie at the County FA ground.

With Town struggling in the bottom half of the table another win tomorrow for City could lift them into fourth place and provide another lifeline for Guiseley who are closing the gap on them in their relegation battle.

Guiseley are beginning to get to grips with life in the top flight and tackle Sporting Albion tomorrow.

Last week City beat Loughborough 2-0 with goals from Alarna Fuller and Sarah Danby, but Guiseley produced the result of the day when they went to Newcastle United and grabbed a 6-1 win.

Two goals each from Katie Anderton and young substitute Keegan Lambert, and one from Aimi Beresford gave Guiseley a 5-0 lead and though Newcastle snatched a consolation goal, Bethan Smith, another sub, wrapped up the points.

Brighouse Athletic saw their County Premier Division title hopes take a knock with a 0-0 draw at home to fellow challengers Ossett Town but they should take full points from the visit of Gledhow.

In the North East Regional League Premier Division, Brighouse Town are still on course for promotion to the FA Premier League after their 5-1 win at Wetherby Athletic put them nine points clear of Barnsley.
