BAILDON Trinity Athletic are still in a West Yorkshire League relegation battle after they suffered a 6-0 loss to Division One leaders Stanley United.

Captain Elliott Moody was missing for Baildon and their high-flying opponents soon led with a smart turn and finish by their striker.

Three more goals followed in the first half as Baildon were put on the backfoot by some fine play from the visitors.

Baildon did hit the bar with a Johnny Reynolds cross-shot and Sean McVey just failed to get to the rebound.

The second half was much the same, with Stanley proving why they are top of the table as they added two more goals for an emphatic win.

Wyke Wanderers Reserves beat bottom side Otley Town Reserves 2-1 in Alliance Division One.

Sam Digby's fine goal edged Wyke in front but a concerted effort from Otley saw them win a penalty with 20 minutes to go, only for goalkeeper Alex Whitson Smith to make a great save.

A battling second-half display by Otley left Wanderers on the back foot but a counter-attack saw Joe Sagar brought down in the penalty box late on. Man of the match Carlton Reid converted to give his young side three deserved points.

An own goal, Daniel Laban and Calum Robinson were on target for Field Reserves in their 3-0 win against Huddersfield Amateur Reserves in the League Trophy.

There were no Premier Division matches scheduled for Field or Wyke Wanderers due to the FA Inter-League Cup semi-final.

The West Yorkshire League representative side travelled to Hertford Town, where they faced the Spartan South Midlands League and lost 3-2.
