Town assistant boss Barry Thomas said: "We had the better of the chances but couldn't find a way through a resolute RIASA defence.

"Their goal was worthy of winning the match though as their player scored with a tremendous 30-yard shot."

The second leg was due to be played earlier this week but was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.

Silsden Reserves were hammered 6-1 at Ossett Town Reserves in the Lancashire League to leave them still looking for their a first win.

Fred Midgley netted the consolation goal, with manager Clive Murgatroyd saying: "It was a poor performance as we couldn't put two passes together.

"If it wasn't for our goalkeeper Tom Noden, the score would have been even more. Credit to Josh McNulty, who never gave up trying despite the score."
