BRADFORD City go into their FA Women's Premier League (North) game against joint leaders Derby County at Eccleshill United tomorrow in good spirits after two successive victories in the League Cup.

Last week's game against Leicester City saw Bradford play out a goalless first half, against a side boasting a 100 per cent record in Division One, but once they edged in front through Hannah Campbell on the hour victory was were never in doubt.

Abbie McIver added a second with 18 minutes to go before late goals from Chantelle O'Hara and Paige Crosby sealed City's place in the next round.

Guiseley Vixens' cup adventure is over after suffering a 1-0 defeat at First Division side Mossley Hill despite making the early running when Leah Jones and Lauren Griffiths were both denied by the home keeper.

Kerrie Zserdicky-Shirt fired just wide after the break but in the end the tie was decided in the 67th minute when Lauren Oatley hit the winner for the Liverpool-based side.

Guiseley boss John Shirt's response was: "Disappointing, but at least we can focus on getting our league season up and running" and that begins tomorrow with a trip to Blackburn Rovers ahead of a midweek clash with Bradford City.

In the Reserve Division, City, without a game last week, take on Huddersfield Town at Shelley FC in what is only their third game of the season, while the City A team face an interesting game at unbeaten Hebden Royd in the First Division of the West Riding League.

Hebden could be fielding four players who have actually played over 500 games for City between them in Izzy Pollard, Nicky Davies, Asha Curry and Claire Popplewell.

In the Premier Division, Bradford Park Avenue finally got their league season underway at Hepworth United but, despite taking a first-half lead through Katie Dormer, they went down 2-1 and they are on the road again this week when they go to newly-promoted Tingley.
