ALBION Sports Reserves came away from Eccleshill Leeds with a fine 2-1 win in the Lancashire League.

Elliot Holmes put Albion 2-0 ahead in the first half and their goalkeeper Danny King saved a penalty.

Eccleshill found the back of the net after 76 minutes through Bo Day but Albion held out to secure a win against Terry Dolan's team. Albion manager Ravindar Dharni said: "I drafted in Steve Pattison and Carl Priestly for their experience and they were instrumental in getting the victory."

Thackley Reserves found themselves 3-0 down at half-time at Harrogate Railway Reserves.

They hit back in the second half with goals from Mat Bilney and Joe Keen, and they had enough chances to be comfortable winners but couldn't equalise.

The Halifax & District FA Cup match between Brighouse Town Reserves and Stump Cross was postponed because of a frozen pitch.
