Bradford City, unbeaten on their travels this season, are on the road tomorrow when they travel to the Midlands to face Sporting Albion in the FA Womens Premier League Cup.

The two sides drew 1-1 at Thackley recently but, boosted by at 1-0 win at Nottingham Forest last week, coach Steve Winterburn is hoping to progress in what is now a nationwide competition.

At Forest it was a solitary goal from Olivia Thackray, after seven minutes, but elsewhere in the club goalscoring wasn't a problem as City reserves won 4-0 at Mansfield and the A team were 11-0 winners at home to Dewsbury Rangers.

The first team's Premier League (North) win lifted them into fifth place and above Huddersfield Town who lost 3-1 at home to Sheffield for a third successive defeat.

Also in League Cup action are Division One (North) side Guiseley Vixens who face the daunting task of entertain a Cardiff City side, sitting second in the Premier League, after a 2-1 deafeat in the league at home to Chester-le-Street last week.

In the Premier League Reserve Division, City maintained their 100% start when American girl Ann Wethe hit a second hat-trick of the season in the win at Mansfield that puts them joint top with Newcastle United - who they meet tomorrow at the Eccleshill United ground

Elsewhere in this division Guiseley reserves, beaten 8-0 at home to Newcastle in their last game, face Leeds, at Harrogate Railway, and Huddersfield Town are at home to Mansfield with both clubs looking for their first points.

It was a disappointing day for a previously unbeaten Bradford Park Avenue. Sarah Huby gave them a 2-0 lead at home to Ossett Town in the West Riding League Premier Division but the visitors hit back to win 3-2 and go top.

The two sides meet again at Bradford next week in the County Cup but, before that, Avenue are at home to Brighouse Athletic tomorrow.

Dewsbury Rangers' delight at a first win of the season, in Division Two, last week was short lived. In their last game they went to the newly promoted Bradford City A team and crashed to an 11-0 defeat as City maintained the 100% league record since joining last season. On target for City were Vanessa Holroyd 4, Chelsey Faulkner 3, Laura Gadd 2, Annie Nichol, and an og.

There is no game for Dewsbury this week but that last result looks ominous for Norristhorpe who remain anchored to the foot of the table after a 5-1 defeat at Battyeford Belles and now have to entertain Bradford City this week.

Battyeford, one of five teams in joint second place, have a tough game on their hands on Sunday when they travel to Wetherby Athletic reserves while their own reserve side, having lost 5-0 at Farsley reserves in their last game, are at home to a Tingley Athletic reserve side boasting four wins out of four .
