The Toolstation Northern Counties East League’s Groundhop weekend starts tonight, and newcomers Campion are hoping for a bumper crowd as they host Dronfield Town in Division One.
Campion’s sportsbulk.co.uk Stadium is the newest ground in the NCEL as the Manningham Mills-based club only stepped up into the semi-pro game at the beginning of the season.
The league has told the club to expect visitors from far and wide as the Groundhop weekend attracts many supporters.
The league’s games have staggered kick-off times over the full four days of the Easter weekend, with tonight’s clash being an early bonus fixture.
Campion have put out a clarion call to local football followers to grasp this opportunity to visit their ground at Scotchman Road, enjoy their facilities and witness at first hand the level they have risen to.
James Bicknell’s men may have missed out on the play-off places in their first term but they are a comfortable eighth as they host 19th-placed Dronfield.
Campion also boast a 30-point advantage over their visitors.
