BRIGHOUSE Town’s manager Vill Powell has drafted in more signings and the club’s ground will have a brand new name.

Hove Edge will now be known as the Yorkshire Payments Stadium after the club signed a deal with the local business worth a five figure fee over the next three years.

The naming rights are part of a sponsorship package that sees the company’s logo on the back of the first team’s shirts, on the shorts and everything else from training kit, to the team bus and even the club’s stationary.

The ground used to be known as the Dual Seal Stadium but Dual Seal Glass have increased their sponsorship links with Super League club Huddersfield Giants and Huddersfield Town, however, they will remain one of Brighouse’s sponsors.

On the eve of the Evo-Stik Division One North campaign Powell has signed Robbie Culpit who has been playing in pre-season as a trialist.

The 22 year old defender has proven that he will be a good addition to the squad.

Former Grimsby Town Academy product Callum Robinson and former Barnsley, Halifax Town and Albion Sports wide player Brad Riley have also put pen to paper as has utility man Harley Wigley.

All of the encouraging signs in pre-season and the expectations inside the club after just missing out on the play-offs last term have been dampened, by a series of break-ins and theft of vital machinery.

The outbuildings and storage containers at the club’s ground have been targeted and a third raid in the last six weeks left the club asking for help on social media as their grass-cutting equipment has been stolen.
