BRIGHOUSE Town face a tough derby fixture tonight as they host Ossett Town, with both clubs battling to break into the play-off places in Evo-Stik League Division One North.
Paul Quinn’s men are four points outside the top five at the moment, despite a confidence-boosting 2-1 victory at Kendal Town on Saturday.
Goals from Ben Wharton and Jamie Pollard had Brighouse in control before Kendal netted a late consolation.
Quinn knows that his side faces a stern examination from Ossett Town, who are outside the play-off places on goal difference only after a 4-0 win at struggling Radcliffe Borough at the weekend.
The ninth-placed hosts cannot overhaul their sixth-placed visitors, even with a win at the Dual Seal Stadium tonight, but victory would reduce the points gap between the sides to just one.
