THE battle between third-placed clubs in the Bradford & District FA Sunday Cup proved one-sided.
Visitors Steel Bangle Spartans, from Division 2A, trounced Thornton United B, from Division 3A, 11-3 in their third-round tie on the 4G pitch at Thornton Recreation Centre.
Spartans, whose goals came from Ryan Naylor (5), Robert Richmond (3), Matthew Knowles (2) and Mitchell Woolley, now visit mid-table Division 2B Scholemoor Rovers in the quarter-finals on Sunday, January 17.
