PREMIER Division leadersStanningley Albion were unfazed when Napoleons Casino took an early lead in their Bradford Sunday Alliance League clash.

Andy Kenyon soon restored parity and Richie Banks and Chad Morris then put Albion 3-1 ahead by the interval on the way to a 6-1 triumph.

Second-half goals came from a bullet header by Luke Hunter and Banks (2), who thus completed his hat-trick.

Second-placed Peel Park came unstuck at Bolton Woods, going down 4-2, while the match between Thornton United and West Bowling was off due to a waterlogged ground, with both already facing midweek matches at the end of the season due to cup successes.

Sandy Lane and Buttershaw Celtic fought out a four-goal thriller at Marley Stadium, sharing the goals and the points.

The visitors missed early chances and soon found themselves 2-0 behind but Lee Smith pulled one back before the interval and Steve Ryan equalised in the second half.

Celtic should then have won it but Dan O'Donnell spurned a glorious chance in the closing stages.

In-form White Eagles and Swaine Green both suffered defeats in Division One – with the nervous Eagles losing 4-2 at Ventus United, who took the lead with a deflected header.

Two more deflected goals were shared before United made it 3-1 with a composed finish. Then Louis Etienne pulled one back before United put the game to bed.

Arron Irving (2), Billy Summers and Simon Gelder netted for victorious Ventus.

Oakenshaw won 3-2 at Swaine Green to go second, with matches in hand on leaders Allerton.

Bradford Horton Sports, who won 4-1 at home to Bolton Woods Socials, could also be contenders as they too have games in hand.

Division 1B leaders Olympic were beaten for the first time when they lost 3-2 against Apperley Bridge, while Grass Greener United returned to winning ways in beating Beldon Sports by the same score.

Craig Ricketts gave Beldon the lead after 15 minutes, Rob Coulter equalising just before half-time.

Substitute Craig Marshall made a decisive impact for United, putting them in front after 62 minutes with a powerful header.

Ricketts made it 2-2 before Marshall grabbed his second goal, and the winner, seven minutes from time with a right-foot drive from the edge of the area. These were his first goals for the club since returning from injury.

In Division 2A, Mill Lane 2004 moved into second place after a 5-1 victory at Fairweather Green, with strikes from Mark Consterdine (2), Paul Hague (2) and the consistent Liam Charles.

Meanwhile, Thornton United Reserves went fourth in Division 2B with a 7-0 home win over bottom club Second West.

Stephen Wilkinson bagged a hat trick for United, Brad Asquith hitting a brace, with further goals coming from Chris Patefield and Lewis Sheeran.

Only one point separates the top three in Division 3A, with Oddfellows Celtic Reserves leading the way.

But next Sunday's fixture against fourth-placed Victoria is a must-win game for Celtic after they lost 6-1 at third-placed YMCC.
