THACKLEY bounced back from their midweek setback at home to pick up three points on the road in the Toolstation Northern Counties East League Premier Division with a 2-1 win at Clipstone.

Thomas Dugdale gave the Dennyboys the lead in first-half stoppage time from the penalty spot after Luke Robinson had been fouled in the area, but Clipstone hit back through Liam Royles in the 76th minute.

The Dennyboys snatched the win with a route-one goal with less than four minutes remaining.

Keeper Dale Coleing launched the ball forward, and Andy Wood latched onto it before rifling in the winner.

There was another positive result for Liversedge as they picked up a point from a 1-1 draw at Bridlington Town. Third-placed Brid were just two points off the summit but they were held by basement outfit Sedge, who took a tenth-minute lead through Anthony Hilton, Chris Adams striking Brid’s leveller just before the half-hour.

Albion Sports slumped to a home defeat as Handsworth Parramore edged a close contest.

The hosts started well in both halves but were undone by a late set-piece as the visitors’ Kieran Wells converted a 71st-minute corner with a close-range header.

Eccleshill United banked a home win in Division One with a 3-1 victory over Knaresborough Town.

The Eagles took a one-goal lead into the break after Luke Harrop opened the scoring.

The visitors were briefly on terms after Jonty Maullin equalised just after the hour but a second for Harrop put the Eagles back in front, and Andy Cooper wrapped up the scoring five minutes from time.
