Toolstation Northern Counties East League Premier Division: Albion Sports 2 Pickering Town 5
ALBION Sports suffered a damaging home defeat last night at the hands of mid-table Pickering Town after a shocking second-half display.
Kulwinder Sandhu’s men looked comfortable in the first half and took the lead midway through it via Alex Cusack.
Then Matty Dalton doubled Sports’ lead on the half-hour with a curling shot, both goals being created by marauding forward Marcus Edwards.
The home side missed a glorious opportunity to go three goals up a minute later, and the Pikes soon hit back when Ryan Cooper halved the deficit.
Albion may as well have not come out after the break as Pickering rattled in four goals without reply, Lewis Taylor levelling the game just seven minutes into the second half.
The visitors edged in front through Ged Dalton 18 minutes from time, and Matty Turnball added another before Cooper wrapped up the scoring with a late penalty after a foul by Jack Bentley which earned the Albion keeper a yellow card.
