CITY prospect Reece Webb-Foster has been tipped to shine as Guiseley go in search of their first win of the season tonight.

The Lions head to Chester aiming to end a dismal nine-match winless streak which has left them bottom of the Vanarama National League.

Webb-Foster last week joined Guiseley on a one-month loan deal and made an encouraging debut during Saturday's 1-1 draw at home to Woking.

The 18-year-old forward has made five appearances for the Bantams, including his first start in the Checkatrade Trophy win over Stoke's under-23s last month.

He scored four goals in eight games on loan at Bradford Park Avenue last season and interim Guiseley boss Adam Lockwood believes the teenager will only get better.

"I've been impressed with Reece as a person, which is very important to me," said Lockwood.

"He comes very highly recommended, not just by the people at Bradford but people who've worked with him for a number of years. He's got a really bright future in the game.

"He's a young lad and this level will be different to what he's used to, so it might take him time to grown into that.

"He might hit the ground running. He's been playing a lot of games recently and is a young lad.

"It takes it out of you physically and mentally but I'm sure it will grow into performances at this level. You could see glimpses of his quality on Saturday."

Webb-Foster is expected to feature again tonight as Lockwood bids to strengthen his claims for the Guiseley job on a permanent basis.

Since being placed in temporary charge after Mark Bower was sacked, Lockwood was guided the Lions to two draws and two defeats.

The interim boss said: "I'd like to think we are becoming more consistent in our performances and that pleases me.

"At times we are looking in control of games and we will carry on doing that at Chester."
