FARSLEY Celtic head for North Wales on Saturday looking to take another step towards winning the Evo-Stik Division One North title.

If the Celts can manage a victory at 14th placed Colwyn Bay it would cap a glorious week.

Last Sunday four of their players were named in the division’s team of the year at the annual awards night and on Tuesday they lifted the West Riding County Cup.

Farsley are one point ahead of Lancaster City having played the same number of games.

Colwyn Bay's form has been mixed. They lost 3-0 at Radcliffe Borough in midweek but won by the same score at Mossley last weekend.

Skipper Aaron Hardy, leading scorer James Walshaw, winger Lewis Nightingale and goalkeeper Graeme McKibbon were the Celts players in the team of the year. Walshaw was also named the division’s player of the year.

Brighouse Town also face a huge game as they make a last-ditch attempt to break into the play-off places.

Paul Quinn’s side are just four points outside the top five with three games remaining.

Town travel to lowly Radcliffe who beat Colwyn Bay on Tuesday. Quinn’s men are one of seven clubs competing for the last three play-off places.

Just six points separate ninth from third with Farsley and Lancaster well clear of the chasing pack.

The tough end to a long season continues for Thackley as they travel to Bridlington Town in the Toolstation Northern Counties East Premier Division.

Neighbours Albion Sports could do fifth-placed Thackley a favour by winning at Handsworth Parramore, the team immediately above the Dennyboys.

Liversedge play their penultimate match against mid-table rivals Bottesford Town.

Eccleshill United host Winterton Rangers in Division One.

Silsden travel north to take on Holker Old Boys in Division One of the Hallmark Security League.

The Cobbydalers are just inside the top half as they look to bounce back from a narrow defeat at title-chasing Widnes.
