FARSLEY have appointed long-term club secretary Josh Greaves as their new chief executive officer.

The news was made public at the club’s presentation evening in their Throstle Nest clubhouse, and delighted 26-year-old Greaves was quickly on social media to say: “So proud to be appointed chief executive of Farsley,” adding the hash-tags proud, clublife, topclub, development, moving up and CEO.

The Evo-Stik League also congratulated him on their website, saying: “Farsley AFC have unveiled Joshua Greaves as one of the youngest chief executive officers in football.”

The appointment of Greaves is still subject to him passing the Football Association's directors' and ownership test.

The club's new CEO is now looking forward to the challenges ahead after seeing Neil Parsley's side narrowly lose out on lifting the Doodson Sport Cup in last week's penalty shoot-out defeat to Warrington Town at Stockport County's Edgeley Park.
