FARSLEY will be hoping to avoid an unwanted hat-trick on Saturday.

After having their last two matches called off, Farsley are anxious to return to action against mid-table Burscough at Throstle Nest.

Farsley have slipped to eighth place in Evo-Stik First Division North and Neil Parsley’s men will want to make up ground on their rivals for a play-off place.

The visitors have played seven more games than Farsley who have played the fewest in the division.

Parsley’s men have got five matches in hand on some of their promotion rivals, yet could clamber back into the top five.

Burscough are on the same points as Farsley’s local rivals Brighouse Town, who have a home game with another mid-table side, Bamber Bridge.

Town’s confidence is high after successive victories, the second of which was against Salford who are part owned by a number of former Manchester United stars
