Farsley will be looking to log their 20th win of the season on Saturday and hoping if they manage it that it takes them back into the Evo-Stik League play-off frame.

Neil Parsley’s men were frustrated last weekend when their trip to Division One North promotion rivals Ramsbottom United turned into a wasted journey. The match referee called the game off because there was standing water on the pitch.

Farsley held on to their place in the play-off zone despite missing out then but a midweek victory for Ramsbottom saw them leapfrog Farsley and Lancashire rivals Bamber Bridge.

That dropped Parsley’s men down to sixth, two points behind Ramsbottom and above Bamber Bridge on goal difference only.

But Farsley now have their fate in their own hands as they have a game in hand on Ramsbottom and have played the same number as their other rivals.

Their visitors this weekend are mid-table Salford City, who have played three games more than Farsley but have banked 20 fewer points.
