Baildon are the new Division Two leaders after inflicting a first Bradford League defeat on Yeadon, who have held top spot for much of the season.

Opener Gharib Razak (68) and Jonny Reynolds (67) batted well as they staved off the efforts of Mahmood Rasool (4-43) and Oliver Halliday (3-54) to help Baildon make 205-9.

Yeadon were then sent spinning to defeat as Mushtaq Ahmed (5-39) and Tom Webb (3-44) got to work after some determined batting by openers Callum Goldthorp (52) and James Todd (45). Yeadon were dismissed for 171 to lose by 34 runs.

Baildon now head the table by a single point, with Morley a further 13 behind after winning by 71 runs in a match that was marred by a serious injury to Bankfoot opponent Kamran Siddique, who fractured and dislocated a knee while fielding.

Former Bankfoot opener Gary Wainwright top-scored with 46 for Morley as they made 208-9. Andy Marshall (4-52) was the most successful Bankfoot bowler.

Bankfoot ran into early trouble in reply as Matthew Dowse took 3-36. Skipper Neil Nicholson ensured his team did not capitulate totally and was 53 not out in a 137-6 total.

Second-team bowler Fezal Rajput (5-55) combined with left-arm spinner Ben Platt (3-17) to guide Spen Victoria to a 103-run win over Idle .

Idle were dismissed for 135 in reply to a Spen total of 238-6 which owed much to the efforts of skipper Dan Shuffe (86) and opener Peter Jackson (80).

Bowling Old Lane’s overseas player Devraj Patil has proved to be a shrewd signing and he continued his good form with 119 not out in a 124-run victory over Hartshead Moor.

Patil built on the work of opener Faisal Mahmood (41) to help his side make 294-7 and crowned a great individual performance by taking 6-57 as Hartshead were all out for 170.

Keighley ’s young batsmen were in good form as they crushed bottom side Brighouse by 164 runs.

Opener Jonathan Wilkinson – fresh from his appearance for Yorkshire under-19s – led the way with 67, while Tom Stead (59) and Jack Beetham (39no) were the other main contributors to a total of 224-5.

Brighouse were never in the hunt and crashed to 60 all out as Joe Stead (4-19) impressed.

Mohammed Akbar (4-49) and Sadaqat Zaman (3-30) helped set up Great Horton ’s three-wicket win over Windhill (152). Skipper Paul Mosey (45) was the only batsman to offer prolonged resistance.
