Yorkshire were set a revised target of 152 runs from 37 overs to beat the Unicorns in their latest Clydesdale Bank 40 match at Headingley.

Rain meant the loss of three overs per innings, so the Unicorns’ total of 150-6 was altered by Duckworth-Lewis calculations.

Adil Rashid continued his impressive form with three wickets, including two with googlies to bowl Vishal Tripathi and trap James Ord lbw.

And Ryan Sidebottom made an encouraging return to action following a little over six weeks out due to a torn calf with two wickets.

Moin Ashraf also had Jayden Levitt caught and bowled to leave the visitors at 74-5 before they had two crucial partnerships either side of Rashid bowling Luis Reece for 25.

Top-scorer Keith Parsons, the Unicorns skipper who made 48 not out, shared 46 inside 12 overs for the sixth wicket with Reece before adding 56 unbroken inside 12 for the seventh with Rob Woolley (28no).

Rashid finished with 3-24 from eight overs and Sidebottom 2-28 from seven.
