Mid-table Division Two side Hartshead Moor were the only team to beat the weather on another day of disruption in the JCT600 Bradford League.

All Division One matches were abandoned, as were all but one of lower-section games.

The exception was at Hartshead Moor, where the home side gained 17 points from their eight-wicket home win against bottom club Idle.

Jack Baldwin took 4-31 and Martin Riley 3-19 as Hartshead bowled out Idle for 144.

They then cruised to their target in 25.2 overs with opener Graham Hilton unbeaten on 49 and Craig Field 31 not out, sharing an unbroken third-wicket stand of 53.

Rain ruined the most eye-catching match of the day in the First Division between second-placed Pudsey St Lawrence and third-placed East Bierley at Tofts Road.

Bierley made the top score of the day – and gained maximum batting points – as they totalled 251-6 in 50 overs, with opener Gavin Hamilton (68) and Andrew Rennison (68no) their top scorers.

St Lawrence were in some trouble at 53-3 in 14.3 overs when the match was abandoned.

Next-to-bottom Pudsey Congs also gained maximum batting points at Cleckheaton before declaring at 226-7 after 48 overs.

Opener Nick Lindley was top scorer with 66 not out, while Ed Walmsley made 50 not out against his old club as Yorkshire’s Iain Wardlaw took three wickets.

Cleckheaton were 24-0 in 4.4 overs when rain caused the match to be abandoned.

Saltaire must have fancied victory against Hanging Heaton at Roberts Park after restricting the visitors to 129-8 in 34 overs, with Kamran Anwar taking 4-34 and skipper Ijaz Khan 2-32.

Unfortunately for the home side, they did not have the chance to start their innings before the final bout of rain came.

Skipper and opener Ian Philliskirk led from the front with a top score of 63 as Farsley declared on 203-9 at home to Manningham Mills.

The visitors were in trouble at 44-4, with Matthew Lumb taking all four wickets when the rain brought the match to a premature end.

Only 16.2 overs were possible at Bradford & Bingley, where the home side scored 69-2 against leaders Woodlands.
