Kashmir are the early West Riding Sunday Council pacesetters after two wins over the Bank Holiday weekend gave them maximum points from four games.
They kicked off with a narrow victory over AMCC on Saturday. Muhammad Zahid (75) and Asif Ayub (71) set up a total of 246-8 and AMCC were all out just four runs short of what would have been a memorable win.
It was a little easier against defending champions Azeems on Monday. Ayub struck another 50 as Kashmir posted 242-5 and their opponents were dismissed for 198 despite Humayum Shazad’s 56 not out.
Azeems had also missed out on Saturday as Manningham chased down their impressive 298-6 (Shoukat Ali 81, Talib Hussain 76, Zaffer Iqbal 70) to win by five wickets, led by Amir Khan (105no), Shakeel Arshad (95) and Mohammad Alyas (55).
Prajapati’s 129 all out was never likely to be enough against Abaseen, who logged their third win out of three with six wickets in credit.
Attock United (formally Attock West Bowling) were five-wicket winners against newcomers Skipton Kashmir, who were boosted to 135 by Haroon Ali’s 58 before Baber Khan (51no) led the successful reply.
Imran Aslam (108no) and Tariq Mahmood (88no) led Shaadi Cards to an unassailable 256-4 against Euro Windows, who were all out for 186 (Muhammad Mansha 64).
Friends 11 were dismissed for 193 before Attock Sweet Centre crept home by one wicket thanks to Mohammed Azam Khan’s 73.
Monday saw Friends edged out again as they were all out for 227 (Asghar Ahmed 51) chasing Attock United’s 230-9 (Wasim Shah 52, Muhammed Zulqarmain 54).
