Birstall are involved in one of two all-Premier Division ties in the first round of the Solly Sports Central Yorkshire League’s Jack Hampshire Cup.

They will visit Altofts on May 1, Townville going to Wakefield St Michaels in the other top-flight contest.

This will be the latter’s third meeting in 15 days as they also clash in the Heavy Woollen Cup on Sunday, April 17 and the league on Saturday, April 30, both at Townville. Liversedge are one of five teams to receive byes, while Buttershaw St Paul’s host Mirfield Parish Cavaliers, Westwood Park travel to Batley, Northowram Fields are at Caribbean and Scholes visit holders Methley.

Excluded from the draw were Division One Woodkirk, who are serving a ban imposed last season when they failed to raise a team for a match against Northowram Fields.
