Five clubs from the defunct Bradford Central League have joined the Bradford Mutual Sunday School League.

Allerton, Salem Athletic, Great Horton Church and Girlington will all put two teams in, while Greenfield will play as Bradford Property Rentals B.

All these clubs have paid their necessary annual fees and bonds.

Yorkshire LPS have entered a B team and which divisions the ten teams will play in will be decided at the league’s January meeting.

Allerton, Salem Athletic, Great Horton Church, Yorkshire LPS B and BPR B were all welcomed by a unanimous vote earlier at the Mutual League’s annual meeting at Clayton Rugby League Club.

But Girlington, whose representative arrived later in the meeting, were only accepted on an 18-5 vote.

Their representative was in a very awkward situation as Girlington, who are also up for election to the Halifax League on December 7, wanted to be accepted into both leagues before choosing which one they prefer.

But Mutual League chairman Nick Spachis said to him: “You (Girlington) are hedging your bets.

“You have applied to the Halifax League and the Mutual League but we must have a decision from you tonight.

“You are either with us or with the Halifax League and the fact that you want to choose between us later winds me up.”

However, acceptance into the Mutual League for all the clubs is conditional on them having two umpires and that they pay any money that they owe to the Central League. Salem Athletic owe £360 and Greenfield £243.

Norwood Green, who only owe £35, are now the only members of the Central League without a definite league place for 2011.

BPR B will share Shipley Providence’s ground on Coach Road in Low Baildon, while Yorkshire LPS B will be based at Hanson School.
