Keith Dibb, the Dales Council League’s umpire of the year in 2003 and 2005, has been made a life member of the Dales Council Umpires’ Association.
The honour was bestowed upon him during the umpires’ annual meeting at Pudsey Congs Cricket Club.
Bill Beckett has replaced Mick Lockwood as Umpires’ Association president, while committee member Brian Tearle has become vice-president.
Lockwood will now concentrate on playing bowls and golf, having been an umpire for 30 years.
Mick Edwards and David Wilson have joined the committee, replacing Beckett and Ernest Brady.
