Two bad results in succession may well have put Kashmir’s West Riding Sunday Council League’s championship hopes out of reach, but Azeems go from strength to strength.
Niaz Khan made his excellent 64 count as Manningham’s three-game winning streak stopped Kashmir’s progress with only five weeks left. Manningham made 190 and bowled Kashmir out for 123.
Playing at home on Westwood Park, Prajapati‘s bowling attack could not stop Azeems making 222, Shokat Ali running out of overs at 99 not out. Prajapati succumbed with 128.
Shaadi Cards have now won two games on the bounce and may have turned the corner.
They made 199 all out with the help of Saqib Hussain’s quickfire 54. But Attock Sweet Centre went down to their fourth defeat in a row, and likely relegation.
Abaseen returned to the top of Division Two with a close-run game against Harehills.
Batting first, Abaseen were all out for 126 - not a big score against Harehills, but they were held at only eight runs short by Mehar Sultan’s 5-28.
