Harden and Olicanian both suffered a setback to their promotion hopes last week and will be eager to make amends when they face each other in the Division Two match of the day on Saturday in the Aire-Wharfe League.

Harden’s 60-run defeat by Upper Wharfedale was their first blank of the season and saw them drop to second in the table, while Olcanian slipped back to fourth after going down to Steeton.

Both will hope that Steeton can maintain that form when they entertain Bilton, who have opened up a four-point lead after a run of three straight wins.

Bolton Villas have climbed away from the danger zone but face a difficult trip to Upper Wharfedale, while Tong Park Esholt hope to avoid a third successive defeat when they entertain Follifoot.

Last season’s sides relegated from Division One, Calverley and Silsden, find themselves in the unhappy position of filling the last two places in their new division.

Calverley will fancy their chances of improving their position against fellow strugglers Illingworth, but Silsden need a lift in form if they are to take anything from Knaresborough.

Division One front-runners Burley have seen their lead reduced to three points and will do well to pick up full points against a Thackley side who have started to dig out some points in recent weeks.

The big clash in the division is between third-placed Green Lane, who entertain second-placed Beckwithshaw.

Lane have won four of their last five, while the visitors have found it hard to finish sides off recently, despite having stalwart John Inglis in good form with the bat.

Rawdon can climb further away from danger when they tackle North Leeds, one of only two teams in the division without a win, while the clash between Otley and Guiseley could be very close.

The three front-runners in Division ThreeBen Rhydding, Ilkley and Menston – should all win against Woodhouse, Hall Park and Alwoodley respectively.

Addingham travel to New Rover, who have only won one of their last five, while Skipton visit Horsforth and will hope their batsmen are not in the mood they were last week when the slammed 345 off their 50 overs.

Sunday sees Waddilove Cup action return with a mouth-watering top-flight clash between Otley and Burley and an equally tasty Division Three confrontation between Ilkley and Menston.

Harden entertain Illingworth, Rawdon meet Pool, Steeton travel to Knaresborough and Green Lane go to New Rover.
