Cullingworth savaged Haworth to retain the Craven League Division One title on Saturday.

They blasted 295 for nine from their overs, with Gareth Marshall rounding off a splendid season with a fantastic 146 not out and Chris Welch contributing 68 as Gary Binns claimed five for 88.

It could have been a lot worse for the home side, as Marshall was dropped when only on four, which would have had them five for three off three overs.

The Bronte side replied with a modest 117, Jamie Rowell making 37 and Damian Rowell 34 as Phil Poole claimed four for 31.

The only side which could have thwarted Cullingworth, Haworth Road, lost at home to third-place Oakworth by 23 runs.

They posted 173, with Jack Hainsworth making 44 and Mansha Khan taking five for 62. Jack Ellis then took five for 32 to have the Baildon Bottom side back in the hut for 150.

There was drama at the top of Division Two, where three sides were fighting out title and promotion spots.

Pendle Forest travelled to Bingley Congs, knowing that the winner would be crowned champions.

That honour went to the home side, who triumphed by seven wickets.

Forest were dismissed for 140 as home skipper Neil Copping claimed six for 48.

Andrew Copping was the backbone of the Congs reply with 59, aided by Lee Poppleton, who finished with 43 not out.

All eyes then switched to Skipton CI, where they needed to win to stay in the division, and visitors Ingrow needed to win if they were to have a chance of promotion.

Ingrow did a fine demolition job of the home side, getting them out for 65, then cantering home by nine wickets to secure a second visit to the top division.

Division Three champions Riddlesden rounded their season off with a tie at home to Haworth Road II, with both sides scoring 147.

Tinashe Gomwe smashed a fantastic 191 not out off a weakened Cowling II bowling attack.

During his innings he passed 1,000 runs for the season and closed on 1,054.

The Bronte side amassed a staggering 309 for three, with J Alvey chipping in with 59. The visitors subdued quietly for 107.

Eldwick & Gilstead and Cononley II were battling it out for top spot in Division Four.

That honour went to Eldwick as they won by eight wickets over eight-man Haworth, while Cononley went down by five wickets at Ingrow II.

In Division Five, second placed Sutton were too far adrift of Riddlesden II to catch them for the title, however they closed the gap at the top slightly when they brushed aside Haworth WE by 118 runs.
