Zeeshan Qasim looks set to be as deadly this season as last.

The Silsden quickie took 63 wickets in 2007 - the second highest in the league - and, after a washed-out first weekend, got straight back in the groove with spell of nine for 29 to skittle Calverley out for 108.

Silsden, looking to go at least one better than their third place in Division Two last season, didn't have it all their own way when batting but still had five wickets left when they clinched victory.

Harden, who struggled in their opening game against early pacemakers Knaresborough, bounced back with a convincing eight-wicket win at Bardsey.

Richard Wear (4-16) and Simon Wood (4-51) dismissed the home side for 155 in 44.1 overs before Lindsay Scown (87 not out) and Jonathan Roper (58 not out) saw Harden home.

Steve Young (65 and 3-30) was the star of the show as Tong Park took four points off newly-relegated Follifoot, who only had one wicket remaining at the close.

Former Yeadon bowler Richard Machel took six for 56 against Colton but Olicanian's batting didn't match his effort and they were dismissed 64 runs short of victory.

Guiseley continue to impress on their return to Division One, Dean Russ (44 not out) steering them to a seven-wicket win after Adel were bowled out for 97, Dave Pennett and Andrew Paley each picking up three cheap wickets.

Australian Steven Duckworth helped Rawdon put their first points on the board following up a steady 25 with a 19.5 over spell of four for 31.

Stewart Smith had top-scored with 58 in Rawdon's 167, while Andrew Doidge weighed in with three wickets as Green Lane were bowled out for 104.

James Davies (4-49) and Adam Vale (3-41) restricted high-flying Beckwithshaw to 187 but Otley's batting collapsed for 94 in 36 overs.

Burley's batsmen also struggled. Chasing Kirkstall's 200, they failed to cope with the medium pace of Stuart Hudson (7-53) and fell well short of their target.

Skipton followed up an opening Division Three win by taking five points off Hall Park after brothers Kevin (58) and Gary (38 not out) Owens and Ricky Martin (45) had helped them to 217 for six.

They subdued Park's batting but the visitors clung on and had three wickets left at the close.

Bolton Villas pulled off the shock win of the day, overcoming Horsforth by 14 runs thanks to the bowling of Stan Lawrence (4-38) and Chris Spivey (4-18).

Rahan Butt (34 not out) had top scored in Villas' 118 and, despite a battling effort from Matthew Bates (43 not out), Horsforth couldn't quite match them.

Ben Rhydding, who only picked up 21 points last season, are already a third of the way to that total following their seven-wicket blitz of Addingham.

The home side were bowled out for just 70 with Raheel Zaheedi (3-11), Peyush Patel (3-9) and Danny Kenna (3-1) doing the damage.

Former Brighouse bowler Martin Hanson took four for nine to give Thackley a 118-run win at Alwoodley. Earlier Paul Naylor had hit a half- century in Thackley's 177 for seven.

Despite some superb spin bowling from Charlie Dracup, who followed up last week's five-wicket haul with an 18-over spell of seven for 49, Menston were unable to match Illingworth's batting and were dismissed for 87, 32 runs short of their target.

Michael Sant was dismissed just four runs short of his century as Ilkley raced to 207 for nine, Tas Malik weighing in with 49.

But their bowlers couldn't make the break through and Woodhouse eased their way to a nine-wicket win.
